Kindergarten Curriculum (January). Islamic Studies: Quran Centre Work(Surah An-Nas)

Fridays we only do Islamic studies so all day long we try to engage in different activities that cover our montyly topics. Last friday I saw new Quran centre worksheets by sister Umm An-Nu'man for surah An-Nas I decided to print out and do them with kids. They liked the previous Quran Centre worksheets for Surah Al Ikhlas.

In the morning we started with our regular Qu'ran revision then kids took bath. Afterwards we read about 25 ayat from surah Al Kahf and briefly went through the story of Ashab Al Kahf (Companions of the Cave). There is a movie about the Companions of the Cave in Uzbek, when I mentioned this to kids, they wanted to watch, so we saw a part of the it.

We also did Surah An Nas activities as I mentioned above.
Each of these mini-workbooks have a single ayah from surah An-Nas. Under the ayah in a blue box there is one of the word from that ayah. They need to identify the word they see in the box. We just circled them. They were supposed to highlight the word which can also help with writing.

After completing the 1st part, we mixed all the mini books and kids practiced rearranging them in the correct order.
shadow matching with words

Shadow matching with ayat, then all the ayat can be mixed up and kids practice rearranging the ayat in correct order.

Visual worksheet puzzle where children are invited to find all An -Nas words. Sarah found 10 : ) and Ibrahim found 9.

May Allah reward sister Umm An-Nu'man for these wonderful activities. Hope to see more of them in the future inshaAllah.
